Boston Community Dance Project (BCDP)
Created in June 2011, SKooJ CorE-O wanted to give an opportunity to fuse desired performers and make limitless possibilities. Showing passion, drive, and determination with the yearning to learn and expand in the art of story telling has molded what Boston Community Dance Project speaks. Containing foundational technique, strenuous choreography skills, and overall presentation/character involvement BCDP strives for the whole package. “Power Struggle”, “Escape From Malevolence”, “Remembrance”, and “V.O.I.D.” have been established with present contemporary movement, theater attention, and musicality importance in our new works premiering at Mark Morris Dance Group Theater. The Massachusetts Dance Festival, GreenFest Boston, NYCDance Week, and NYCDanceParade are to name a few performances along with holding “Contemporize” Workshops, and supporting Domestic Violence Awareness, Suicide Prevention Foundations, Hurricane Sandy Relief, and The United Way.. Reaching out to the community with realistic matter and true situations is a mission for BCDP to help spread the positivity and release of dance. We hope to show how therapeutic, refreshing, and elating dance is for all and unite our communities.
